Interactions between isoniazid and Bcg (BCG)

Major Drug-Drug Interaction isoniazid and BCG (Major Drug-Drug)

CONTRAINDICATED: Antituberculosis drugs can antagonize the antitumor effects of intravesicular BCG. BCG is particularly susceptible to commonly used antituberculosis drugs such as rifampin, ethambutol, isoniazid, para-amino salicylic acid, and streptomycin.

MANAGEMENT: The use of antuberculosis drugs is considered contraindicated during BCG therapy and the use of BCG is contraindicated in patients with active tuberculosis. BCG should be permanently discontinued in cancer patients who develop a systemic BCG-induced infection requiring treatment with antituberculosis drugs.
