Interactions between isentress(raltegravir) and Intelence (etravirine)
raltegravir and etravirine (Minor Drug-Drug)
Coadministration with etravirine may reduce the plasma concentrations of raltegravir. The mechanism of interaction has not been described. In 19 study subjects administered raltegravir 400 mg twice a day with etravirine, raltegravir peak plasma concentration (Cmax), systemic exposure (AUC) and trough plasma concentration (Cmin) decreased by 11%, 10% and 34%, respectively. These changes were statistically, but not clinically, significant. Raltegravir had no effect on the pharmacokinetics of etravirine. Raltegravir and etravirine may be coadministered without any dosage adjustments.
