rotavirus vaccine immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous

Applies to: RotaTeq (rotavirus vaccine) and immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous

Immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous may interfere with the immune response to rotavirus vaccine. If vaccination was given shortly before or after immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous, a revaccination may be necessary. The immunizing doctor should be informed of recent therapy with immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous so that appropriate measures and/or precautions can be taken. It is important to tell the doctor about all other medications being used, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to the doctor.
