hivid and Cimetidine Interactions

Interactions between hivid(zalcitabine) and Cimetidine (cimetidine)

zalcitabine and cimetidine (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Single dose cimetidine has been shown to reduce the renal clearance of zalcitabine by 24%. The mechanism has not been described.

MANAGEMENT: Monitor the patient closely for neuropathy, hepatotoxicity or mouth ulcerations and reduce zalcitabine doses as indicated.
