Famciclovir has been reported to cause a small increase (19%) in digoxin peak plasma concentrations after single dose administration in healthy volunteers. The mechanism of action is unknown. Other pharmacokinetic parameters were not changed. It is recommended that the clinician be aware of this potential interaction, although no specific action appears necessary.
