Interactions between famvir(famciclovir) and Benemid (probenecid)

probenecid and famciclovir (Minor Drug-Drug)

Probenecid may increase the serum concentrations of famciclovir and its active metabolite, penciclovir, through competitive inhibition of renal tubular secretion. Initial dosage adjustments are not usually necessary, but patients should be monitored for famciclovir-related toxicities. The clinical significance is unknown.
