Interactions between efavirenz and Adrenocot (dexamethasone)

dexamethasone and efavirenz (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Drugs which induce CYP450 3A4 hepatic metabolism may reduce serum efavirenz levels and antiviral efficacy.

MANAGEMENT: If efavirenz must be used concomitantly with CYP450 3A4 inducers, close observation for evidence of altered efavirenz effect is recommended.
