Interactions between danazol and Alfuzosin (alfuzosin)

Moderate Drug-Drug Interaction danazol and alfuzosin (Moderate Drug-Drug)

MONITOR: Moderate CYP450 3A4 inhibitors may increase plasma concentrations of alfuzosin, which may result in hypotension and syncope. The mechanism is inhibition of the CYP450 3A4 enzymatic pathway.

MANAGEMENT: Hemodynamic responses should be monitored during coadministration, especially during the first few weeks of therapy. Patients should be advised to avoid situations where injury could result if syncope occurs (e.g., driving) and to notify their physician if they experience dizziness, lightheadedness, or syncope.
