Interactions between dacarbazine and Neggram (nalidixic acid)

Major Drug-Drug Interaction nalidixic acid and dacarbazine (Major Drug-Drug)

CONTRAINDICATED: Serious gastrointestinal toxicity such as hemorrhagic ulcerative colitis and intestinal necrosis has been reported with the concomitant use of nalidixic acid and melphalan. The mechanism of interaction has not been described.

MANAGEMENT: The concomitant use of nalidixic acid in patients undergoing therapy with melphalan or other related cancer chemotherapeutic alkylating agents is considered contraindicated.
