Applies to: fluconazole and Celebrex (celecoxib)
ADJUST DOSE: Administration of celecoxib with fluconazole 200 mg daily resulted in a twofold increase in celecoxib plasma concentration. This is due to the inhibition of celecoxib metabolism via CYP450 2C9 by fluconazole.
MANAGEMENT: The manufacturer recommends initiating celecoxib therapy with the lowest recommended dose.
