MONITOR: Coadministration of digoxin does not appear to significantly affect the kinetics, safety, or efficacy of ibutilide. The clinician should be aware, however, that supraventricular arrhythmias may mask the cardiotoxicity associated with excessive digoxin levels.
MANAGEMENT: It is advisable to be particularly cautious with patients in whom digoxin toxicity is suspected and with patients whose plasma digoxin levels are above normal or are suspected to be above the usual therapeutic range.
