GENERALLY AVOID: The effect of administering different botulinum neurotoxin serotypes concurrently or within several months of one another is unknown. Excessive weakness may be exacerbated by another administration of botulinum toxin prior to the resolution of the effects of a previously administered botulinum toxin.

MANAGEMENT: Due to their similar pharmacologic profiles, the potential for additive neuromuscular blocking effects and paralysis should be considered.
