Description

PEDIACARE products are available in eight different formulas, allowing you to select the ideal product to temporarily relieve your patient's symptoms. PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Liquid and PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Chewable contain an antihistamine, chlorpheniramine maleate, a nasal decongestant, pseudoephedrine HCl, and a cough suppressant, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, to provide temporary relief of nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and coughing due to the common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. PEDIACARE NightRest Cough-Cold Liquid contains a decongestant, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, an antihistamine, chlorpheniramine maleate, and a cough suppressant, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, to provide temporary relief of coughs, nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing due to the common cold, hayfever or other upper respiratory allergies. PEDIACARE Cold & Allergy Liquid contains a decongestant, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, and an antihistamine, chlorpheniramine maleate, to provide temporary relief of nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing due to the common cold, hayfever or other respiratory allergies. PEDIACARE Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold Liquid and PEDIACARE Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold Chewable contain a decongestant, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, and a cough suppressant, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, to provide temporary relief of nasal congestion and coughing due to the common cold, hayfever or other respiratory allergies. PEDIACARE Infants' Drops Decongestant contains a decongestant, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, to provide temporary relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. PEDIACARE Infants' Drops Decongestant Plus Cough contains a decongestant, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, and a cough suppressant, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, to provide temporary relief of nasal congestion and coughing due to common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies.

Active Ingredients:   Each 5 mL of PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Liquid contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 15 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 1 mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 5 mg. Each chewable tablet of PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Chewable contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 15mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 1mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 5 mg. Each 0.8 mL oral dropper of PEDIACARE Infants' Drops Decongestant contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 7.5 mg. Each 0.8 mL of PEDIACARE Infants' Drops Decongestant Plus Cough contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 7.5 mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 2.5 mg. Each 5 mL of PEDIACARE NightRest Cough-Cold Liquid contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 15 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 1 mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 7.5 mg. Each 5mL of PEDIACARE Cold & Allergy Liquid contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 15mg and chlorpheniramine maleate 1mg. Each 5mL of PEDIACARE Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold Liquid contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 15mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 7.5mg. Each chewable tablet of PEDIACARE Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold Chewable contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 15mg and dextromethorphan hydrobromide 7.5mg. PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Liquid and NightRest Cough-Cold Liquid are cherry flavored, alcohol free and red in color. PEDIACARE Cold & Allergy Liquid is bubblegum flavored, alcohol free and pink in color. PEDIACARE Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold Liquid is grape flavored, alcohol free and purple in color. PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Chewable tablets are cherry flavored, pink in color with PC3 imprinting. PEDIACARE Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold Chewable tablets are grape flavored, purple in color with PC2 imprinting. PEDIACARE Infants' Drops Decongestant is fruit flavored, alcohol free and red in color. PEDIACARE Infants' Drops Decongestant Plus Cough is cherry flavored, alcohol free and clear, non-staining in color.

Professional Dosage:   A calibrated dosage cup is provided for accurate dosing of the PEDIACARE Liquid formulas. A calibrated oral dropper is provided for accurate dosing of PEDIACARE Infants' Drops . All doses of PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold, Cold & Allergy Liquid , as well as PEDIACARE Infants' Drops may be repeated every 4-6 hours, not to exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. PEDIACARE NightRest Liquid and Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold Liquid may be repeated every 6-8 hrs, not to exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.

PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Liquid, Night Rest Cough-Cold Liquid, Cold & Allergy Liquid and PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Chewable:   Do not exceed recommended dosage. If nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by fever, consult a doctor. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough persists for more than one week, tends to recur or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache, consult a doctor. Do not give this product for persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with asthma or if cough is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus) unless directed by a doctor. May cause excitability especially in children. May cause drowsiness. Sedatives and tranquilizers may increase the drowsiness effect. Do not give this product to children who are taking sedatives or tranquilizers without first consulting the child's doctor. Do not give this product to children who have a breathing problem such as chronic bronchitis, or who have glaucoma, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease or diabetes, without first consulting the child's doctor.

Drug Interaction Precaution:   Do not give this product to a child who is taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your child's prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before giving this product.

Overdosage:  Acute dextromethorphan overdose usually does not result in serious signs and symptoms unless massive amounts have been ingested. Signs and symptoms of a substantial overdose may include nausea and vomiting, visual disturbances, CNS disturbances, and urinary retention. Symptoms from pseudoephedrine overdose consist most often of mild anxiety, tachycardia and/or mild hypertension. Symptoms usually appear within 4 to 8 hours of ingestion and are transient, usually requiring no treatment. Chlorpheniramine toxicity should be treated as you would an antihistamine/anticholinergic overdose and is likely to be present within a few hours after acute ingestion.

How Supplied: PEDIACARE Multisymptom Cold Liquid, NightRest Cough-Cold Liquid (color red), Cold & Allergy (color pink), and Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold (color purple)-bottles of 4 fl. oz. (120 mL) with child-resistant safety cap and calibrated dosage cup. Multisymptom Cold Chewable Tablets (color pink, imprinted PC3), and Long-Acting Cough Plus Cold Chewable Tablets (color purple, imprinted PC2)-individually sealed blister packaging in boxes of 18. PEDIACARE Infants' Drops Decongestant (color red) and PEDIACARE Infants' Drops Decongestant Plus Cough (clear)--bottles of 1 / 2 fl. oz. (15 mL) with calibrated dropper.

Store bottled product in original outer carton until depleted.
