Description
Duet™:
Duet™ is a yellow oval oil- and water-soluble multi-vitamin/multi-mineral tablet imprinted with the StuartNatal logo ("heart-in-a-heart") on one side and "82" on the other.
Duet™ Chewable:
Description:
Duet™ Chewable is a mottled orange heart shaped oil- and water-soluble multi-vitamin/multi-mineral chewable tablet imprinted with the StuartNatal logo ("heart-in-a-heart") on one side and "83" on the other.
INDICATIONS
Duet™:
Duet™ is a multi-vitamin/multi-mineral nutritional supplement indicated for use in improving the nutritional status of women throughout pregnancy and in the post-natal period for both lactating and non-lactating mothers. Duet™ is also useful in improving the nutritional status of women prior to conception.
Duet™ Chewable:
Duet™ Chewable is a multi-vitamin/multi-mineral nutritional supplement indicated for use in improving the nutritional status of women throughout pregnancy and in the post-natal period for both lactating and non-lactating mothers. Duet™ Chewable is also useful in improving the nutritional status of women prior to conception.
Contraindications
Duet™ and Duet™ Chewable:
These products are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Warnings
Duet™ and Duet™ Chewable:
Folic acid alone is improper therapy in the treatment of pernicious anemia and other megaloblastic anemias where vitamin B 12 is deficient.
| WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. Keep this product out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately. |
Precautions
Duet™ and Duet™ Chewable:
Folic acid in doses above 1.0 mg daily may obscure pernicious anemia in that hematologic remission can occur while neurological manifestations remain progressive.
Duet™ Chewable only:
Phenylketourics: Duet™ Chewable contains phenylalanine (aspartame) 15 mg per tablet.
Adverse Reactions
Duet™ and Duet™ Chewable:
Allergic sensitization has been reported following both oral and parenteral administration of folic acid.

Before, during, and after pregnancy, chew and swallow one tablet daily, or as directed by a physician.

Storage:
Duet™ and Duet™ Chewable:
Store at room temperature. Protect from moisture and excessive heat. Note that contact with moisture may produce surface discoloration of the tablet.
Dispense:
Duet™ and Duet™ Chewable:
Keep in well-closed, light-resistant container as defined by the USP. A child resistant safety cap is provided as a safeguard against ingestion by children. KEEP THIS AND ALL MEDICATIONS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
