While not approved by the FDA for these indications, ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10) has been used for acute myocardial infarction, AIDS, Alzheimer's disease, angina, breast cancer, cardiomyopathy, cardioprotection during surgery, congestive heart failure, exercise performance, hypertension, migraine, mitochondrial disease, Kearns-Sayre syndrome, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, periodontal disease, and renal failure.
