Usual Adult Dose for Otitis Externa

Solution or suspension: Instill 4 drops into the affected ear(s) 3 to 4 times daily for up to 10 days.

Mastoidectomy infection and fenestration cavity infection:
Suspension: Instill 4 drops into the affected ear(s) 3 to 4 times daily for up to 10 days.

Usual Pediatric Dose for Otitis Externa

Children:
Solution or suspension: Instill 3 drops into the affected ear(s) 3 to 4 times daily for up to 10 days.

Usual Pediatric Dose for Otitis Media

Precautions

Alternatively, a cotton wick may be saturated with the solution or suspension and inserted into the ear canal. The wick should be moistened with the ear drops every 4 hours and replaced every 24 hours.
