Usual Adult Dose for Intraocular Hypertension
Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) 3 times daily.
Usual Adult Dose for Glaucoma (Open Angle)
Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) 3 times daily.
Renal Dose Adjustments
Not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min).
Liver Dose Adjustments
Caution is recommended in patients with hepatic impairment.
Precautions
If other eyedrops are used, they should be instilled at least 10 minutes apart.
Remove contact lenses before administration and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
The container should be shaken well before use.
Cases of bacterial keratitis associated with the use of topical ophthalmic products in multiple-dose containers which had been inadvertently contaminated by patients have been reported. Patients should be instructed to avoid allowing the tip of such containers to contact the eye, eyelid, fingers or any other surface.
Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients (less than 18 years of age).
Dialysis
Not recommended for patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min).
