Pronunciation: zō-rū′bĭ-sin
Definition: Semisynthetic derivative of daunorubicin; also similar to doxorubicin. Like those agents, zorubicin exerts significant myocardial toxicity. Used as an antineoplastic in breast cancer.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
