Wenckebach phenomenon
Pronunciation: venk′ĕ-bahk
Definition: progressive lengthening of conduction time in any cardiac tissue (most often the AV node or junction) with ultimate dropping of a beat (AV Wenckebach) or reversion to the initial conduction time (as in QRS Wenckebach).
