Definition: innermost of three coats (with tunicae vaginalis and albuginea) investing the testis, consisting of a vascular plexus in a delicate loose connective tissue matrix that covers the internal aspect of the tunica albuginea and extends deeply, covering the septa and therefore surrounding the lobules of the testis.
