unit membrane
Definition: the trilaminar structure of the plasmalemma and other intercellular membranes, when seen in cross-section with the electron microscope, composed of two electron-dense laminae, each approximately 2.5 nm thick, separated by a less dense lamina 2.5–3.5 nm thick.
