Definition: a longitudinal prominence on the posterolateral surface of the medulla oblongata along the lateral border of the tuberculum cuneatum; it is the surface profile of the spinal tract of trigeminal nerve, continuous caudally with the dorsolateral fasciculus (Lissauer tract).
