- Symbol for tele; relaxation time.
- A protein that associates with microtubules and other elements of the cytoskeleton; tau accelerates tubulin polymerization and stabilizes microtubules; tau is also found in the plaque observed in patients with Alzheimer disease and in cerebral neurons in other neurodegenerative disorders.
