Definition: a small, usually cylindric, molded or compressed disc of varying size, containing a diluent usually consisting of dextrose (glucose) or of a mixture of lactose and powdered sucrose and a moistening agent or excipient, such as dilute alcohol.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
