Pronunciation: sĕr-tō′lē
Definition: a generic term for ovarian sex-cord stromal tumor composed of Sertoli cells, Leydig cells, and cells resembling rete epithelial cells, either in a pure form or as a mixture of these cell types.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
