sea-blue histiocyte
Definition: a histiocyte containing cytoplasmic granules that stain bright blue with hematologic stains (Wright-Giemsa); found in bone marrow and in the spleen, associated with hepatosplenomegaly and thrombocytopenic purpura and in other blood diseases.
