Definition: either of two foramina formed by the sacrospinous and sacrotuberous ligaments crossing the sciatic notches of the hip bone: greater sciatic foramen [TA] (foramen ischiadicum majus [TA]) and lesser sciatic foramen [TA] (foramen ischiadicum minus [TA]).
Synonym(s): foramen ischiadicum (anterior et posterior)
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
