Definition: that portion of the capsule caudal to the lentiform nucleus that contains occipitopontine fibers [TA], occipitotectal fibers [TA], optic radiations [TA] (geniculocalcarine fibers [TA], posterior thalamic radiation [TA], and other fiber systems.
