pyloric branch of anterior vagal trunk
Definition: branch of anterior vagal trunk that passes through the gastrohepatic ligament with the hepatic branches of the vagus to reach the pylorus. In selective vagotomy procedures, this branch is spared to avoid problems with gastric emptying.
