Definition: the localized thickening of the superior fascia of the pelvic diaphragm anteriorly that anchors the prostate and neck of the bladder to the pubis on each side. It usually contains smooth muscle.
Synonym(s): ligamentum puboprostaticumTA, lateral puboprostatic ligament, Denonvilliers ligament
