Pronunciation: sū′dō-hī′pĕr-par′ă-thī′roy-dizm
Definition: Hypercalcemia in a patient with a malignant neoplasm in the absence of skeletal metastases or primary hyperparathyroidism; believed to be due to formation of parathyroidlike hormone by nonparathyroid tumor tissue.
