pseudobulbar palsy
Definition: paralysis of the lips and tongue, simulating progressive bulbar paralysis, but due to supranucelar lesions with bilateral involvement of the upper motor neurons; characterized by speech and swallowing difficulties, emotional instability, and spasmodic, mirthless laughter.
