nerve fibers projecting from the frontal eye field (abducens) and the motor and sensory cortices to motor and sensory relay nuclei in the pontine tegmentum such as the facial, abducens, and trigeminal nuclei; fibers may be direct or relayed via the adjacent reticular nuclei.
