plantar tarsometatarsal ligaments
Definition: longitudinal and oblique bands reinforcing the plantar aspects of the tarsometatarsal joints (joints between the metatarsals and the cuboid and cuneiform bones); the medial bands are strongest; they become progressively weaker laterally.
