Definition: ligaments located on the inferior (sole) aspect of the interphalangeal joints of the toes, flanked by and connected to the collateral ligaments, forming the plantar portion of the joint capsule; lighter but similar in structure and function to the palmar ligaments of metacarpophalangeal joints.
