pipestem fibrosis
Definition: a characteristic pipe-shaped fibrosis formed around hepatic portal veins in some cases of long-continued heavy infection with Schistosoma mansoni; thought to be induced by the presence of large numbers of schistosome eggs in the hepatic tissues.
