pervasive developmental disorder
Definition: any of a group of mental disorders of infancy, childhood, or adolescence characterized by distortions in the acquisition of the multiple basic psychological funtions necessary for the elaboration of social skills, language skills, and imagination; also characterized by restricted or stereotypical activities and interests.
