Definition: superior and inferior fibrous bands retaining the tendons of the peroneus longus and brevis in position as they cross the lateral side of the ankle.
Synonym(s): retinacula of peroneal muscles, retinaculum musculorum fibularium, retinaculum musculorum peroneorum
