Pronunciation: ōr′tō-lahn′ē
Definition: a maneuver for reduction of hip dislocation, using thigh flexion and abduction with anterior movement of the femoral head; reduction is accompanied by palpable reseating of the femoral head in the acetabulum.
Synonym(s): Ortolani test
