Definition: A genus of amphibious freshwater operculate snails of the family Hydrobiidae (subfamily Hydrobiinae; subclass Prosobranchiata). In the Mekong River delta, Lythoglyphopsis aperta serves as an intermediate host of the blood fluke, Schistosoma mekongi.
