lupoid hepatitis
Definition: jaundice with evidence of liver cell damage and positive antinuclear antibody or LE cell tests, but without evidence of systemic lupus erythematosus; liver biopsies usually show chronic active hepatitis with infiltration by plasma cells, or postnecrotic cirrhosis; serum is negative for hepatitis B antigen. (More often termed autoimmune hepatitis).
