Definition: an evaluation method used in intensive care that enumerates the level of dysfunction of each organ system and among organ systems; includes evaluation of degree of dysfunction of cardiovascular, hepatic, hematologic, pulmonary, renal, and nervous systems.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
