Pronunciation: lip′ō-thī′ă-mīd pī′rō-fos′fāt
Definition: Name formerly given to the coenzymes of the multienzyme complex catalyzing the formation of acetyl-CoA from pyruvate and involving lipoamide and thiamin pyrophosphate, on the assumption that they were a single compound.
