lip switch flap

 

Definition: a flap designed so that a triangular segment of one lip (usually the lower), vascularized by the superior and inferior labial arteries (branches of the facial artery), is rotated 180 degreess and transferred into a defect in the opposing lip. The donor site is closed primarily.
