limbic lobe
Definition: as originally defined by P. Broca: the nearly closed ring of the brain structures surrounding the hilus, or margin, of the cerebral hemisphere of mammals; it is composed of the fornicate gyrus (cingulate gyrus, fasciolar gyrus, parahippocampal gyrus, and uncus) and the hippocampus.
