Pronunciation: lev′ō-byū-pi′vă-kān hī-drō-klōr′īd
Definition: An aminoamide type of local anesthetic that contains a single enantiomer of bupivacaine hydrochloride but is less cardiotoxic than bupivacaine.
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
