Definition: a type of increased muscle tone due to an extrapyramidal lesion in which pathologic resistance to passive extension of a joint is constant throughout the range of motion. Should be contrasted with clasp-knife spasticity (q.v.).
Examples: glitazone, GI cocktail, etc.
