Pronunciation: lah-tar-zhā′
Definition: terminal branch of anterior vagal trunk that runs along lesser curvature of the stomach to within a few centimeters of the gastroduodenal junction, but apparently never reaches the pyloric sphincter.
Synonym(s): superior hypogastric (nerve) plexus
