Pronunciation: lam′i-nin
Definition: A large, multimeric glycoprotein component of the basement membrane, particularly the lamina lucida; it has binding sites for integrins, type IV collagen, and heparan sulfate. It is a major protein component of the lamina lucida of the renal glomerulus.
