Kingella
Pronunciation: kin-jel′ah
Definition: Genus in the family Neisseriaceae; members are medium-size, gram-negative, aerobic and facultatively anaerobic, nonmotile cocci and coccobacilli in pairs or short chains, which may decolorize poorly with acetone-alcohol; they are oxidase positive, and ferment glucose with acid but not gas. The type species is Kingella kingae.
